Pricing eBooks is a somewhat less than straightforward process. The information on this page is intended to be a guideline for “ballparking” your project. For a more accurate estimate on eBook conversion costs, please use our estimate request form where you can provide details about your project and upload a reference file for estimating purposes.
Deliverables – What You Get
- Each eBook conversion includes the two most widely used eBook filetypes: .mobi (for Kindle) and ePub (for just about everything else). Other formats can be added for an extra fee.
- Every individual XHTML, CSS, and XML file is guaranteed to validate through the industry standard W3C code validators.
- ePub files are guaranteed to validate to the ePub 2.01 standard using ePubCheck and ePubPreflight to ensure compliance with device requirements.
- Kindle files are guaranteed to display properly on the various Kindle devices and across platorms in Kindle apps.
- Optimized images including tabular data, graphs, etc. that must be screenshot for insertion.
- FREE Lifetime proofreading changes and error correction. (Editorial changes are charged at an hourly rate.)
Standard Conversion Pricing
The pricing information below assumes delivery of source documents in either Word, PDF or InDesign format. Other source file types may be subject to an additional charge. This pricing also does not include specialty formats like fixed-layout ePubs, Read Aloud, or enhanced eBooks. Please request an estimate for the most accurate pricing.

Scanning and OCR
Base Price: $75 set up fee
Scanning: 30¢ per page
OCR: 60¢ per page
Our OCR processes include high-accuracy scanning and OCR softwares as well as a manual check for correct formatting and text accuracy.
For our scanning process we require a physical copy of the book that will not be returned to you. There will be an additional $25 fee for books that must remain intact and need to be returned.** Please send your book to:
